Tool #3

For your Tool #3 Assignment:
  1. Visit several of the video hosting/streaming sites mentioned above. Share with your readers which sites you found most useful for your content and why.  Discovery Learning has a host of usable videos .  Be sure to download to desktop so that you won't experience trouble buffering.
  2. Using any of the video resources mentioned above, find and select two videos that may be useful resources in your classroom. Embed them in your blog. If they do not have embed capabilities, hot link them to your blog.
  3. Articulate what you learned about copyright and fair use. What was new to you? So long as I repurpose what I am using, adding my own value, it is legal to use things.
  4. Create a Dropbox account and add some files to it  How could you use this tool in your classroom?  Students could access articles, assignments and video in the dropbox.  I would need to make these read only.

  1. Hopefully we will be able to open YouTube for students soon so they too can watch these videos at school! YouTube is becoming, well, has become the place to post. It is so easy! You ought to try using one of the iPads in your classroom to create a video and then post it to YouTube! You'll be amazed!

  2. I love that you can use this on your blog to have kids watch different YouTubes that we don't have time to access in class.
